Buckeye Elementary District
In April 2006, the Buckeye Elementary District was faced with the explosive population growth of the West Valley in Arizona. New master planned communities were bringing in families faster than traditional site built construction funding and development could keep up with the demand for classroom space. The district had two dilemmas. Getting 20,000 square ft of classroom space in four months on two different school sites, and the only space available on one of the school sites was a fully landscaped deep retention basin. The district knew the only answer would be to hire Modular Solutions, ltd for a turkey project.
Modular Solutions LTD immediately stepped up and got the site engineering, and site testing started to get a creative solution to the retention basin challenge. While this task would have been impossible for any traditional builder to complete, Modular Solutions, ltd gladly came on board and committed to make this happen.
With other site challenges such a electrical runs across campus, and new fire lanes going in Modular Solutions, ltd stepped up to each challenge as this infill project unfolded. The modular buildings were constructed in the manufacturing plant while the site work was blazing forward. | | |
In July 2006 parents and administration watched in astonished unbelief, as the building and site work culminated successfully to allow 500 children to occupy their new classrooms. An attractive steel canopy over the quad was the finishing touch to make the Sundance School site blend in with the existing campus.
Modular Solutions, ltd had provided this campus addition on time, and within budget. A story of modular construction completing a seemingly impossible task, with satisfied customers in the end.
